The first-ever sports diving watch for Montblanc, the Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date features a glacier pattern dial that gives the impression of looking into the depths of a glacier. This blue glacial pattern dial is inspired by the Mer de Glace - Sea of Ice - the main glacier of the Mont-Blanc Massif. Its texture was achieved using an almost-forgotten ancestral technique called gratté-boisé. The timepiece comes with a unidirectional bi-colour ceramic bezel, an engraved case back, and a tapered interchangeable stainless steel bracelet with fine adjustment for precision fitting. The timepiece conforms to the ISO 6425 norm for diving watches and is water-resistant to 300 metres.

About The Brand

Montblanc watches

The Montblanc watchmaking story began in 1858, when Charles-Yvan Robert founded his workshop in Villeret, in the Swiss Jura Mountains. It was there that Montblanc Montre S.A. came into being, a Manufacture that produces its own movements, developed entirely in-house, as well as watches of utter technical and artistic perfection. This marked the beginning of the historic Minerva era, where Minerva would become one of the world’s leading specialists in precision chronometry for professionals. Today, Montblanc timepieces continue the journey of Minerva’s over 160-year legacy in four fine watchmaking explorations: Star Legacy, 1858, Bohème and Heritage, every lines are linking the past and the present through design, style and technical innovation.
